About Mr Jonathan Sumner
Mr. Jonathan Sumner is the Senior Physiotherapist and Clinical Director at LDN Physio, with over 13 years of specialist experience in musculoskeletal physiotherapy and a deep knowledge of sporting injuries. He has worked with elite athletes, including those at the Premier League level at Tottenham Hotspur FC Football Academy and at the IAAF World Athletic Championships in London in 2017, treating athletes at the highest level.
Specialising in the treatment of hip, knee, and ankle conditions, Mr. Sumner also has a keen interest in managing spinal and shoulder issues related to a return to sport. His extensive experience in rehabilitating athletes—from getting them back to peak performance to helping patients recover from long-term injuries—is one of his greatest assets.
An all-round sports enthusiast himself, Mr. Sumner brings personal experience from high-level competition to his practice. He has been a county swimmer, a British champion youth ironman in surf lifesaving, and a youth basketball player in Devon and South-West England. Today, he is an active runner and plays as a right winger/striker in football.
Mr. Sumner is dedicated to accurately diagnosing his patients’ conditions and collaboratively developing tailor-made rehabilitation programmes. His goal is to help patients return to their activities as safely and swiftly as possible.

Jonny is an amazing physio who has helped me every step of the way since I dislocated my shoulder a few months ago during pole. From the initial assessment to then referring me to a sports surgeon to my current rehab after surgery, he has been brilliant. Jonny is super knowledgable and experienced, and also really kind!
