Mr Johnson Yan Ning Neo

Johnson Yan Ning Neo is a Locum Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon at Moorfields Eye Hospital, specialising in corneal transplantation, cataract, and refractive surgery. He has clinical expertise in managing complex anterior segment conditions, with a particular interest in ocular surface inflammation and the use of immunosuppressive therapies. Johnson graduated from the University of Edinburgh with an MBBS in 2014 and completed an advanced ophthalmology clerkship at Harvard Medical School, further strengthening his global perspective on eye care.

Deeply committed to tackling health inequalities, Johnson is passionate about population health and the prevention of avoidable visual impairment. His early academic work on whole-population visual screening during his foundation years significantly influenced the national approach to childhood vision screening in England, demonstrating his impact on public health policy from an early stage in his career.

Alongside his clinical work, Johnson has led numerous quality improvement projects that have measurably enhanced patient care across both local and regional services.
