Being able to contact Jess when I needed was fantastic

Jess was very approachable, explained things thoroughly and made me feel at ease during all visits.

Jess was fantastic with us. In the up front appointments she explained how it will all work, any complications we should be aware of and really set our minds at ease. During the whole birthing process she was attentive and comforting whilst still controlling the entire process giving us a wonderful baby boy at the end. We thought it was a wonderful experience

I can’t recommend Jess enough. After initially being petrified of childbirth my partner and I decided to go private for a planned c-section. I was petrified of vaginal labour after a bad family history. But Jess never questioned our decision and always supported/listened to us every step of the way. It was also especially with me towards the end of my pregnancy being so uncomfortable with awful swelling, Jess was able to bring the date slightly forward. My baby was a big baby! Jess was always there on WhatsApp and would always respond swiftly with answers especially after I had a little scare and also sending me through blood results to put my mind at ease. The day of the birth was a relaxed, happy atmosphere. The whole team and Jess where so kind. The whole experience for me and my partner was wonderful for one of the most special days of our life.

She carefully listens to me and see what exactly going on with my body. Also I appreciated her being patient to explaining the details of diagnosis and the possible treatement until I completely understand. I'm very thankful to her for her kindness.

Jess has been nothing but amazing since the beginning. She has been understanding and sensitive to every situation. She is attentive and dedicated to responding so quickly. She is even available on watsapp! Every symptom that was troubling me, Jess tried to help with such as acid reflux, itching. Anything out of the ordinary, Jess made sure that I saw a specialist in that area for peace of mind. I always felt safe in her hands and appreciated being able to see someone in person during the pandemic with my first pregnancy and her sending through negative tests for comfort. I ended up having to have an elected c section because of a footling breach and risk of cord prolapse and Jess was so considerate of my mental health and got me to talk through why I had wanted the vaginal birth over the c section and made me feel so much better. When it came to the c section, I felt Jess really considered what we asked for with the delayed cord cutting. I wasn’t scared at all and she made sure the team that supported her in theatre were matched to us by personality. The operation went well and my scar is very neat indeed. Jess was always there in following 6 weeks recovery to help with any questions or advise on any reactions that I was having to the painkillers. My partner and I want to move from London but I’d come back for Jess to look after us for our second!! She was amazing!!

The care we received from Jess was amazing! In the run up to the birth, she put us at ease by always communicating clearly so we knew all our options which really helped us feel calm ahead of the birth. For the birth itself, there is noone I would rather have had to deliver our baby. Jess was decisive and quick to respond to challenges that came up during the birth (which were totally outside anyone's control), always consulting us whilst also prioritising the safety of the baby. She was incredibly thorough, careful and calm ensuring every possible risk was considered and mitigated. We would highly recommend Jess and could not have been in better hands for the birth of our daughter.

Miss Jess McMicking is beyond incredible. Not only has she taken wonderful care of my health, but also she is lovely to speak with at every appointment. During my C-section operation, she was calm and explained the process clearly, taking her time to go over the plan and introduced me to the team in the room. I never felt rushed or uninformed. She explained everything to me in a very clear manner. She was also kind and friendly during the procedure, which in turn made my husband and I feel so calm throughout the operation. It’s rare to find a doctor that combines such personal touches and care for a patient as a person with outstanding quality of medical care. I highly recommend her to my friends and family who are planning on having a baby in the future.

She was very professional and explained everything really well to me. She was very proactive in her communication and it was easy to get in touch with her. She also inspired me confidence and trust that made me be at ease when booking my surgery with her.
