Jane Webber is a consultant trauma and orthopaedic surgeon with over 18 years' experience in this field, the last decade of which has been as consultant with a busy NHS practice. She specialises in lower limb surgery including hip surgery. She is based in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, where she lives with her husband and daughter.
Miss Webber undertook her initial medical training from St George's hospital Medical school in 1992, where she also undertook her early surgical training in addition to St Bartholomew's hospital. During this time she gained a lot of experience in many different surgical disciplines as diverse as ophthalmology and cardiothoracic surgery in addition to Orthopaedics.
Miss Webber undertook Higher Surgical Training in all aspects of trauma and orthopaedic surgery on the Cambridge East of England Higher Surgical training programme. She was the first female trainee there to gain her Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Trauma and Orthopaedics Surgery in 2006; making her not only a highly skilled surgeon but a trailblazer in her field too.
Towards the latter half of this training Miss Webber developed a strong interest in lower limb reconstructive surgery including hip and knee arthroplasty and revision surgery. This led her to undertake fellowship training in arthroplasty and revision at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital. This prestigious fellowship offers high volumes of operative training and is often held by international trainees form Europe and worldwide.
Miss Webber has a strong interest in the development and training of Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeons of the future both regionally and nationally. She was previously a member of the Oxford Core Surgical training committee and is now leads the Higher Surgical Training Programme in the Oxford region as Training Programme Director for Trauma and Orthopaedics. This commitment includes the national selection and assessment of trainee surgeons and participation in National Programme Directors Committee for Trauma and Orthopaedic surgery.

After waiting three years ,not being able to see my GP, it was so refreshing to finally meet Ms Webber who was incredibly professional , straight talking and to the point with diagnosing my condition. I would highly recommend Ms Webber .

Ms Webber told me that the operation would be 'life changing'. After 9 months, despite losing the first 2 weeks of physio through a separate hospitalisation, I can honestly that this was true. My final consultancy in September was close to my 77th birthday and I was pleased to report that, instead of feeling a year older I felt over 2 years younger due to my increased mobility.

From my first referral with Ms Webber, I felt in very good hands. I had previously had a hip operation with another surgeon and this experience was not a very good one, so with this in the back of my mind, I was quite anxious about having another hip operation, but I needn't of worried as Ms Webber put my mind at ease, and I cannot fault this experience. Would definitely recommend Ms Webber to others. My mobility prior to my hip surgery was affected as I had one leg longer than other. This was corrected in surgery with Ms Webber and I am now walking level after 22 years. I cannot thank her enough for her attention to detail in every meeting we have had. This was a great experience.

I found Miss Webber to be extremely professional and she took time to explain the procedure and likely outcome in a very thorough way.

Ms. Webber thoroughly and thoughtfully and explained all of my options and both the benefits and potential risks. I felt completely comfortable with my decision to undergo hip surgery and I’m no longer in any pain. It was a complete success. I’m so very grateful.
