Jane Astbury

Jane Astbury is an experienced Musculoskeletal Podiatrist who holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (BAppSc) and a Master of Podiatric Practice (MPodPrac). She is fully registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC: CH037613) and has over six years of clinical experience in specialised private practices across Australia and the United Kingdom. Ms Astbury specialises in the structural diagnosis, management, and treatment of complex lower limb biomechanical issues, gait abnormalities, and musculoskeletal foot pathomechanics.

Her clinical practice covers sports-related foot injuries, chronic heel pain, plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendinopathy, tibialis posterior tendon dysfunction, and chronic ankle instability. Additionally, she manages localized foot pathologies such as metatarsalgia, Morton’s neuroma, stubborn verrucae, and ingrown toenails requiring nail surgery. She also conducts comprehensive diabetic foot health and neurovascular assessments.

Ms Astbury utilises evidence-based, collaborative treatment plans focused on patient education and restoring pain-free movement. Her technical clinical toolkit includes computerised gait analysis, diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound imaging, lower limb dry needling, Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy (ESWT), neurosensory training, and custom foot orthoses (insoles) design. She is also a certified provider of Swift® Microwave Therapy for the targeted removal of recalcitrant plantar warts.
