Mr Jag Naik is an esteemed Consultant Vascular Surgeon at Spire Liverpool Hospital, recognised for his exceptional contributions to the field of vascular and endovascular surgery. He completed his medical degree at the University of Glasgow in 1993, followed by his training in general surgery and vascular surgery. He became a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 1997 and later pursued a doctorate at the University of Leicester, exploring the impact of statins on venous cell growth, which he completed in 2001.
Further refining his skills, Mr Naik spent significant time at the renowned Royal Adelaide Hospital. Here, he honed his expertise in endovascular techniques and aesthetic vein interventions, benefiting from the hospital's renowned legacy in leg bypass surgery and its association with the Miller Cuff operation.
In 2010, Mr Naik assumed the role of Consultant Vascular and Endovascular Surgeon at Liverpool Royal Infirmary. He emerged as a leader in the field, heading the carotid surgery program and establishing the sole regular NHS varicose veins list in the city. His scope of expertise extended to complex leg reconstructions, abdominal aortic aneurysm repair, and surgery for vascularised cancers within a multidisciplinary specialist team.
Mr Naik's contributions extended beyond the clinical realm. He published extensively on various aspects of vascular surgery, including the application of endovascular grafts for aneurysmal disease and the effects of drugs on vein cell growth. Additionally, he played a pivotal role in educating medical students about vascular disease at the Royal Infirmary.

I had a very positive experience under the care of Mr Naik and his team for the treatment of my varicose veins. From the initial consultation through to the procedures and follow-up, he was consistently kind, professional, and thorough. He took the time to explain everything clearly, which made me feel reassured and confident in the treatment plan. His manner was courteous and approachable, and I felt completely at ease and safe throughout. The outcome of the procedure has been excellent, and has transformed my everyday life and I’m very grateful for the high standard of care I received. I would highly recommend him to others.
I strongly recommend Mr Naik for vascular surgery. He treated my very advanced varicose veins and they’re 100% gone and I’m delighted with the result. He works alongside great surgical nurses and I felt very safe and cared for throughout. Also very responsive to any follow up queries. A 10/10 experience.
Mr Naik and his team worked amazingly on my procedure. I had very little pain or discomfort after my time in ICU . I couldn’t believe how well things went and I fit enough to be allowed home . Today thirteen weeks after my procedure I was seen by Mr Naik and he couldn’t have been more pleased with me. He discharged me today and I cannot thank him and his team enough for giving me life back with peace of mind. I am indebted.
Pre operation consultations were really informative and Dr Naik was clear on the procedure and what I could expect, inspiring confidence in advance. Post op results were amazing as was the after care and my ongoing support

I saw Mr Naik today for follow-up. He was professional, courteous and very pleasant. He explained what he had done in a very comfortable Interview. His clinic was run efficiently and politely by all staff members with whom I had contact.
