About Dr. Ismail Memon

Dr Ismail Memon is a Consultant Psychiatrist practising at Eleos Clinic. He also works as a Consultant Psychiatrist specialising in Perinatal Psychiatry at Swansea Bay University Health Board in South Wales. He has over 12 years of experience in psychiatry within the NHS, with clinical experience across general adult psychiatry, child and adolescent mental health services (CAMHS), rehabilitation, old age psychiatry, and addiction psychiatry.

Dr Memon assesses and manages a wide range of mental health conditions, including adjustment disorders, anxiety disorders, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), depressive disorders, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), psychosis, schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, bipolar affective disorder, and psychiatric conditions related to pregnancy and the postnatal period.

He provides comprehensive psychiatric assessments and develops individualised, evidence-based management plans. His clinical approach includes pharmacological treatment alongside lifestyle interventions such as sleep optimisation, nutrition, physical activity, and reducing screen time where appropriate. He has additional training in the assessment and management of ADHD through the UK Adult ADHD Network (UKAAN), delivered by clinicians at King’s College London.

Dr Memon completed his medical degree (MBBS) at Isra University in Pakistan and went on to complete specialist training in General Adult Psychiatry, with an endorsement in Addiction Psychiatry. He is a Member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists and holds multiple postgraduate qualifications in psychiatry, medical education, and leadership. He is also a Fellow of the European Board of Psychiatry and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

In addition to his clinical work, he holds academic and leadership roles, including examiner and committee positions within the Royal College of Psychiatrists, and teaching roles at Cardiff University.
