Dr Ian Pomeroy

Dr Ian Pomeroy is a Consultant Neurologist who provides comprehensive diagnostic assessment, treatment, and ongoing care for patients presenting with a wide range of neurological conditions. Dedicated to delivering person-centred, compassionate clinical care, he works collaboratively with individuals to formulate tailored treatment plans that address both acute symptoms and long-term health needs.

Dr Pomeroy completed his undergraduate medical education, earning a Bachelor of Medical Science (BMedSci) and a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB). He subsequently undertook extensive specialist medical and neurology training across Sheffield, Birmingham, Oxford, and Liverpool. Furthering his academic and clinical expertise, he conducted research into progressive forms of Multiple Sclerosis at the University of Oxford, earning a Doctorate of Philosophy (DPhil). He is a Member of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP).

With dedicated expertise in neuroinflammatory conditions, Dr Pomeroy focuses heavily on the management of Multiple Sclerosis, including progressive forms of the disease, alongside general neurology. His clinical practice encompasses neurological evaluation, disease-modifying therapies, and the implementation of integrated care pathways to improve long-term outcomes and overall quality of life.
