Dr. Hemal Shah

Dr Hemal Shah is a well experienced General Practitioner and the Medical Director of Dr. Dropin. He completed his medical degree at University College London in 2007, followed by his initial training in the Severn deanery. From 2009 to 2010, he served as an Expedition Medicine Doctor in Belize, Madagascar and Fiji. He gained an interest in paediatrics during the completion of ST3 specialist training. He was awarded his Membership with the Royal College of General Practitioners and became registered with the General Medical Council as a GP in 2016. Dr Shah has experience within the NHS and abroad, including serving as a GP in New Zealand.

Dr Shah is passionate about evidence-based care and has ambitions to embrace the rapid evolution of general practice, whether through the traditional partnership model, primary care networks, or as an early adopter of digital healthcare. He is dedicated to steering his career towards these goals while remaining focused on delivering excellent, trustworthy, evidence-based clinical care for his patients.
