Mr Harry Tossounis

Mr Harry Tossounis is a Consultant Ophthalmologist at the University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust. He also sees patients at Optegra Eye Hospital Hampshire and Surrey. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists and has expertise in a number of eye conditions

Mr Tossounis accepts referrals for people suffering with the following eye conditions: retinal detachment, macular hole, epiretinal membrane, floaters, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, retinal vein occlusions and routine & complex cataracts.

His clinical practice is based on his passion for helping his patients retain their vision, prevent vision loss and improve their quality of life.

Alongside his clinical work, Mr Tossounis is a passionate researcher and has over 10 publications in peer-reviewed journals. He also has a history of teaching and training junior doctors in ophthalmology during his Fellowship at Moorfields Eye Hospital and continues to do so in his current position at the Royal Bournemouth Hospital.
