Dr Haroon Moosa

Dr Haroon Moosa is a Consultant Psychiatrist specialising in adult psychiatry, with extensive experience in the assessment and treatment of a wide range of mental health conditions. He is committed to delivering evidence-based, patient-centred care, helping individuals achieve improved mental wellbeing and long-term recovery.

Dr Moosa graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MB ChB) from the University of Manchester in 1994 and subsequently obtained Membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych). He practices within the NHS at Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust and is also Director of The Therapy Company, where he provides private psychiatric care and specialist assessments.

His clinical interests include treatment-resistant mood disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), addiction psychiatry, stress-related conditions, and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Dr Moosa has particular expertise in managing complex cases, tailoring treatment plans to meet the individual needs of each patient.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr Moosa undertakes specialist medico-legal psychiatric assessments, providing comprehensive evaluations and expert opinions in legal contexts.
