Dr. George Taggart studied medicine at St Thomas’s Hospital from 1986 to 1991, with an elective placement at The Sydney Melanoma Unit. He then completed his GP training, spending two years at Canterbury Hospital followed by a year in Brisbane. After working for a year in a GP practice in London, he achieved his Membership of the Royal College of General Practice (MRCGP) in 1997. Following another year in a private GP practice in London, he became a GP partner at Rye Medical Centre in 1999, a role he continues to hold.
For the past eight years, Dr. Taggart has also worked part-time at a private vascular clinic on Harley Street, where he specialises in facial and leg micro sclerotherapy for the treatment of thread veins. In addition to his clinical work, he trains fellow GPs and has a special interest in ENT, particularly in microsuction. Dr. Taggart further contributes to community health as the medical officer for his local RNLI station and serves as an aeromedical examiner for the Civil Aviation Authority, conducting medical assessments for both commercial and recreational pilots.
