Dr Frederick Bartlett

Dr Frederick Bartlett is a leading Consultant Clinical Oncologist. Dr Bartlett's areas of expertise include breast cancer, pancreatic cancer, and oesophageal cancer. As a specialist, Dr Bartlett is particularly noted for their knowledge of heart-sparing breast radiotherapy techniques, including deep-inspiratory breath hold (DIBH). They have published and spoken extensively on this subject and their work has changed UK breast radiotherapy practice. Dr Bartlett also has a particular interest in diet and its role in cancer prevention and treatment.

Dr Bartlett originally qualified from Imperial College London, obtaining an MBBS and a BSc in Neuroscience and Biomedical Sciences. Dr Bartlett undertook training in London and the South of England, before completing an MD research degree in heart-sparing breast radiotherapy techniques. Dr Bartlett holds membership of the Royal College of Physicians and fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists.
