Dr Finbar McGrady is the founder of Dr Finbar’s Skin Clinic, where he specialises in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of skin conditions, with a particular focus on skin cancer detection and management. He provides a wide range of services including skin cancer screening and mole checks, dermoscopy, total body photography, skin surgery. His clinic also provides treatments for acne, eczema, psoriasis, and other skin conditions.
Dr McGrady graduated in Medicine from Queens University Belfast in 1999 before completing training posts in Belfast and a year in A&E in Queensland, Australia. He completed GP training in 2005, becoming a Member of the Royal College of General Practitioners, and went on to gain an MPhil in 2006 and a teaching qualification in 2007. Since 2003, he has taught medical students at Queens University Belfast. His year in Australia in 2012, where skin cancer screening is routine, inspired his advanced training in dermoscopy and skin cancer management.
Alongside his clinical work, Dr McGrady is active on social media, running a YouTube channel with over 23,000 subscribers, where he shares medical and lifestyle advice for better skin health. Outside medicine, he is a keen triathlete and lead guitarist in a rock band.

Dr McGrady removed a granuloma from my 13yr old sons face today. He was so kind, explained what he was doing, the aftercare and if there was any problems to get back in touch. My sons experience from start to finish was fantastic, he felt comfortable getting the procedure carried out and was reassured by Dr McGrady.

I went in very apprehensive. The nurse whom I met first, was outstanding, patient and kind. Dr Finbar was excellent. Listened, didn’t make me feel stupid with the many questions I asked.
I had a lump just above my eyelid which had been there for a couple of years. It hadn’t changed size but as age increases the lack of elasticity in the skin above my eye made my eyelid drop a little. Finbar and his staff were amazing. Talked me through exactly what would happen and the removal was painless. I had 2 dissolvable stitches which have left virtually no mark!! I am delighted with the results. I would have no hesitation in recommending Finbar and his team. Thank you!!!
