Dr Emmanuel Umerah

Dr Emmanuel Asika Umerah is a highly qualified Consultant Anaesthetist with a special interest in obstetric anaesthesia. He practises at The Princess Margaret Hospital, part of the Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust, and has been working there since October 2014. Dr Umerah completed his BSc (Hons) in Physiology at the University of Lagos, Nigeria, before obtaining his MBBS degree from the University of Calabar, Nigeria.

Following his graduation, Dr Umerah moved to the UK where he completed his anaesthetic training in a number of hospitals in the South East of England. He also obtained his Fellowship in Anaesthesia from the Royal College of Anaesthetists. During his training, he developed a keen interest in obstetric anaesthesia and completed an advanced training module in obstetric anaesthesia. Dr Umerah is highly skilled in providing epidural anaesthetic, general anaesthetic, local anaesthetic, spinal anaesthetic, and pain relief after surgery.

Dr Umerah is known for his patient-centred approach to care and always strives to ensure his patients feel comfortable and informed throughout the anaesthetic process. He works closely with the surgical team to ensure that the patient receives the best possible care and is able to have a successful surgery.
