Dr Elizabeth Jane Jackson

Dr Elizabeth Jackson is a Specialist in General, Old Age and Rehabilitation Psychiatry with 32 years of NHS experience and 15 years of experience in private practice. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists and graduated in Medicine in 1992.

Dr Jackson previously spent 22 years as a Consultant Psychiatrist within the NHS in the Westminster Crisis and Home Treatment Team, a service she established to provide an alternative to hospital admission for people experiencing mental health crises. Through this role, she developed extensive experience in supporting patients during periods of acute mental health difficulty, while providing care within the community.

Alongside her clinical work, Dr Jackson served for many years as an Honorary Senior Lecturer and Academic Tutor at Imperial College London, where she provided both pastoral and academic support to medical students.

Having trained earlier in her career as a General Practitioner, Dr Jackson has a particular interest in the relationship between physical and mental health. This background informs her approach to psychiatry, allowing her to consider both psychological and physical factors when supporting patients.

Her specialist interests encompass general adult psychiatry and the mental health needs of older adults, complemented by her extensive experience in crisis intervention, community-based psychiatric care, medical education and private practice.
