Dr Edward Clark

Dr Clark specialises in mental health in elite sport and in high-performing people struggling with burnout. He also sees adults with a wide range of conditions, including ADHD, depression, anxiety, OCD, trauma, addictions, bipolar disorder and psychosis. He offers full ADHD assessments and medication titration.

He has worked with elite athletes from a range disciplines, up to the highest level of competition. He holds the International Olympic Committee Diploma in Mental Health in Elite Sport, awarded with Distinction.

Dr Clark is also a trained coach, with European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC) Accreditation to Practitioner Level. This means he can support people with performance, leadership and resilience as well as treating mental health conditions, and many of his patients benefit from both.

He completed his psychiatry training in the NHS at Central London teaching hospitals, and has lectured and examined at Imperial College London.

His approach is holistic. He takes time to understand each person’s life, goals and pressures, and works collaboratively with patients to agree a plan that fits them. Alongside medication and talking therapies, he uses exercise, sleep and lifestyle as a central part of care. Outside work, he runs, plays golf and watches football.

All consultations are held in strict confidence, and Dr Clark gives particular care to discretion for athletes and others in the public eye.
