Dr Stephen Franks

Dr Stephen Franks is a fully qualified Dentist with a special interest in Dental Implantology. Qualifying in 1999 from University College Hospital London in Dentistry he continued to practice dentistry in the UK and overseas.

His further training has focussed heavily on Implantology where he has completed a yearlong course under the International Team for Implantology; furthermore, he gained a Master's Degree in Dental Implantology at Bristol University and trained under the world leader of the field Prof. Danny Buser at the University of Bern for advanced training in bone regeneration.

To complement his clinical work, Dr Franks taught restorative dentistry at Guy's, King's and St Thomas' Dental School and Dental Implantology for the MSc programme at The University of Central Lancashire. Additionally, he is an approved training mentor.

Dr Franks is experienced at planning complex treatments and excels at rebuilding dentitions when they are heavily damaged. Previous to his current clinical focus on Implantology, he spent eight years looking after difficult and complicated cases at a leading specialist dental centre.

Dr Franks carries out regular audits on his surgical practice and accomplishes high success rates. He also prides himself on his caring manner, always maintains professionalism and is well-liked and trusted by both colleagues and patients.
