Dr Prue Preston

Prue Preston is a dental hygienist/ therapist at Harley Street Dental clinic. She has been involved with dentistry since 2000, where she studied Dental technology at the University of Otago, New Zealand. She received the Dental Technicians Board of New Zealand prize and began work as a dental technician creating bridges and crowns. Prue then moved to the UK in 2007 and undertook dental nursing at the Harley Street Dental clinic. Prue then went on to further train as a dental hygienist and dental therapist at King's College Hospital. She has been praised for her holistic approach to patients, seeing them as individuals and tailoring treatments accordingly. Her interests lie in complex periodontal cases and educating patients to improve habits and behaviours surrounding their oral health.

Outside of clinical work, Prue has done a lot of voluntary dental work in Tanzania for several years, working in multiple orphanages and with the dental charity, bridge2aid. In charity work she has provided oral health education to children and carers and was awarded the Colgate unsung hero in 2012, receiving a £5000 grant to help fund dental treatment for the street children.
