Mr Nellikunja Ashok

Mr Nellikunja Ashok is a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon based in the West Midlands. He specialises in lower limb surgery and regularly performs hip and knee operations, including minimally invasive total hip replacements, total knee replacements and arthroscopy of the knee joint. With over 35 years of experience in Trauma and Orthopaedics, Mr Ashok has significant expertise in his field, and has performed a high volume of surgeries throughout his career in both the NHS and private settings. His high level of experience allows him to perform successful surgeries which result in his patients being highly satisfied with their care.

Mr Ashok gained his degree in Medicine from Manipal University in 1986, and specialised in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery in 1990. He has a wealth of experience and has been a Consultant in the NHS for 20 years. Mr Ashok specialises in lower limb surgery, and performs a wide range of hip, knee, foot and ankle surgeries for various conditions, and is also able to offer joint injections to his patients. He also offers operations for sports injuries, for example ACL reconstruction.

Outside of his clinical work, Mr Ashok is passionate about teaching, and has contributed to the education of both medical students and postgraduate doctors throughout his career. He also contributes to improving and maintaining professional standards through acting as an examiner for medical students. His wealth of expertise in his field has allowed him to author orthopaedic book chapters to help educate others in his field. He also has undertaken clinical research throughout his career, and has presented his work at both national and international conferences.
