Mr Marsel Bregu

Mr Bregu performs a range of ophthalmic surgical procedures ranging from cataract surgery, refractive lens surgery, pterygium removal (a pterygium is fleshy tissue that grows in a triangular shape over the cornea), childhood lid procedures including treatment for nasolacrimal duct obstruction (tear duct obstruction), squint surgery in children and adults, cosmetic injectables for treatment of facial spasms and squints.

He completed his medical education in Turin, Italy in 2002.

He moved to the UK where he worked as a registrar in the Leicester rotation for two years. His first fellowship in paediatric ophthalmology was in Newcastle. This was followed by a second fellowship in adult strabismus and paediatric ophthalmology in Manchester. His main area of expertise is adult strabismus and paediatric ophthalmology.

He organise a regional squint meeting for consultant ophthalmic surgeons with an interest in strabismus for the North West region and is a member of the Medical Advisory Committee at Spire Cheshire Hospital.
