Dr Tomson is a Consultant Cardiologist with interests in cardiac rhythm management, implantation of Cardiac devices (including pacemakers, defibrillators and resynchronisation therapy), palpitations, dizziness, loss of consciousness (syncope) and in the treatment of cardiac dysfunction.

He qualified in 1999 (MBBS) and became a member of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP, London) in 2004. He completed higher specialist training in Cardiology (CCT Cradiology, UK) in 2015. He undertook Cardiovascular research at the Clinical Trials and Statistics Service Unit (CTSU, University of Oxford) and completed his research thesis there (MD, 2016).

Dr Tomson joined the Royal Free hospital, Hampstead, London in 2015. Dr Tomson specialises in management of cardiac arrhythmia, syncope, dizziness, loss of consciousness, breathlessness or symptoms of cardiac dysfunction and conducts cardiac procedures including implantation of cardiac devices (pacemakers, defibrillators, cardiac resynchronisation therapy). His NHS clinics are based at the Royal Free London hospitals NHS Trust. He teaches the UCL medical students and is an examiner at the University College London Medical School, where he also holds an Honorary Clinical Associate Professorship and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, London.

He consults privately at the The Royal Free private unit (Hamsptead), Hospital of St John's and Elizabeth, The HCA Wellington (St John's Wood) and at the Hadley wood hospital (High Barnet). He has published several articles in the Cardiovascular sciences including in his research thesis (vitamin D and cardiovascular disease).
