Dr Jonas Eichhofer

Dr Jonas Eichhofer is an experienced Consultant Interventional Cardiologist specializing in complex heart disease and interventional cardiology at the Lancashire Cardiac Centre, a major tertiary cardiac centre and regional heart attack center. He provides comprehensive diagnostic and interventional cardiac care, offering both face-to-face as well as video and telephone consultations.

Dr Eichhofer graduated cum laude in Medicine from the Friedrich Wilhelm University Bonn, Germany, in 1993, and earned his PhD magna cum laude in 1994. He completed extensive general medical training across leading UK institutions, including the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary, Glasgow Royal Infirmary, and Guy's and St Thomas' Hospitals in London, attaining Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) in 2000. He subsequently undertook specialist higher training in cardiology at premier international centres, including the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, Manchester Royal Infirmary, and Toronto General Hospital (University Health Network, Canada).

His subspecialty expertise encompasses ischaemic heart disease, refractory angina, complex percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), including the treatment of chronic total occlusions (CTO), heart valve disorders, transcatheter valve interventions, heart rhythm disorders, and cardiomyopathies. Dr Eichhofer is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (FRCP) and an active member of the British Cardiovascular Intervention Society (BCIS).
