Dr Ian Drever

I'm a Consultant Psychiatrist at the Priory Hospital Woking, where I specialise in treating depression, anxiety, stress and alcohol use.

By focusing on such a tight range of conditions, I have been able to acquire a really deep knowledge of the diagnosis and treatment of these disorders, and can provide a polished service to my patients. In addition, I have built a network of tried-and-trusted clinical psychologists throughout London and Surrey, who are able to provide superb, skilled input.

In addition to treating individuals, I'm also lucky enough to consult to a range of organisations including large blue-chip companies and various airlines, where I assess pilots for their suitability to fly.

My initial medical training was at the University of Aberdeen, and I then completed my psychiatric specialist training on the St. George's Hospital Training Rotation in South West London, where I worked in a variety of acute posts in the NHS for more than a decade, gaining lots of expertise across all manner of psychiatric settings.

Almost all my time is spent seeing patients, but I also try to raise awareness of mental health conditions by contributing to articles in the general press, and I've also produce some content for the Huffington Post.
