Dr Frank Ryan

I am a Consultant Clinical Psychologist & accredited by the British Association of Behavioural & Cognitive Psychotherapy (BABCP) as a cognitive behavioural psychotherapist, an Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer at Imperial College and a visiting Clinical Tutor at Royal Holloway, University of London.

I first studied applied psychology at University College Cork, Ireland and subsequently qualified as a clinical psychologist at the University of Edinburgh. This training , emphasising the scientific pillars of psychology, but committed to applying research and innovation , continues to inspire me to help people to initiate and sustain positive changes.

In addition to 25 years service as a consultant psychologist in the NHS, I am the founder and managing director of Consulting Psychologists Ltd.

I have served as Chair of the Faculty of Addiction, a sub-section of the British Psychological Society in 2008-10 and 2019-21.
