Dr Chris Papakyriakopoulos

Dr Chris Papakyriakopoulos is a Sessional Psychotherapist working for the Priory Hospital. He has a particular interest in treatments for addiction, this includes gambling addiction, shopping addiction, sex and love addiction, internet addiction and legal high addiction. He also provides alcohol and drug rehabilitation and provides counselling for family, couples and individuals. He also works in Surrey Mental Health Services in the NHS in which he runs two Family Therapy Clinics and provides guidance to clinicians.

Dr Papakyriakopoulos has achieved a Doctorate in Psychology from the University of London specifically in Human Development and Psychopathology. He has more than 15 years of experience working with children, adolescents, families and couples helping to move past their worries and fears to improve their wellbeing.

Apart from his work, he carries out research and also works part-time as an Academic at Universities of London and Athens. He is registered with the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and holds a membership with the Association of Family Therapy and Systemic Practice (AFT).
