Dr Albert Mifsud

Dr Albert Mifsud is a Microbiology and Virology expert. Dr Mifsud trained in microbiology and virology at the Royal London Hospital, St Mary's Hospital and at various locations. Dr Mifsud undertook adult and paediatric clinical infectious diseases training. Dr Mifsud was awarded an MD for research.

Dr Mifsud is a member of the Royal College of Pathologists Specialty Advisory Committee and its Training Committee. Dr Mifsud is a UK representative to the Medical Microbiology Section of the UEMS. Dr Mifsud has been elected Honorary Treasurer. Dr Mifsud chairs the Steering Committee of the UK Standards for Microbiology Investigations, which develops evidence-based, NICE-accredited laboratory procedures.
