Dr Maslin graduated in medicine from the University of Cambridge in 2012 and completed his specialist dermatology training at Addenbrooke’s Hospital. He became a consultant in April 2023. His clinical practice includes the management of adult dermatology patients - including inflammatory skin diseases such as psoriasis, eczema, hand dermatitis and rosacea. He also treats viral, fungal and bacterial skin infections, and performs cryotherapy for keratoses, warts and precancerous lesions. Dr Maslin was very personable while also being professional. He stated he would get a nurse to chaperone without requiring me to decide. He listened to my concerns and worked towards a desirable outcome and provided lots of information about my condition

Thank you for your kind review and I am really pleased you felt listened to and had the information you needed on the condition/treatment options.
Dr Maslin was just wonderful - I came in to check one mole, and after a good look at that, he checked all of my moles on my face, neck and back (I am very moley) and after that, he asked if there was anything else I was worried about and would like him to check. I came in expecting to have one mole examined and left with complete reassurance about my skin and also my breast lymph glands, which I had been worrying seemed inflamed or maybe lumpy. He was able to confirm that there was nothing wrong there, so I was able to avoid making a separate appointment to have them checked. As a cancer survivor, I've had a lot of experience with the medical sector, and this was by far the gentlest and most thorough appointment I've had with a doctor! It allowed me to go on holiday with my family with no worries in the back of my mind.

Thank you for your kind review. I am always more than happy to offer a complete skin check, and also if there any concerns then to examine the appropriate lymph nodes.
Dr Maslin’s care was exemplary, with a thorough examination of my skin and a sympathetic response to my concerns. Follow-up enquiries about progress demonstrate his conscientious approach. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

Thank you. It is always great to hear feedback after the appointment, and also to hear how the skin condition is responding to treatment. It provides a way to continue to learn and improve patient care.
Dr Maslin offered his help to treat a skin issue beyond the reason of the initial consultation, and he proposed optional therapies that have been equally successful.

Thank you for your feedback. I try to ensure we have time to cover all aspects of your skin condition or skin care during the appointments. I am really pleased to hear how you responded to the treatment.
Dr Maslin was friendly and professional, I felt at ease describing my symptoms. After an examination he prescribed a cream that I need to use for 14 days. After one week I have not noticed significant improvement but perhaps it will take longer and I need to be patient. It might have been good if Dr Maslin had mentioned that I cannot drink alcohol while using the cream but the pharmacist did this and the product is clearly labelled, so no harm done.

Thank you for this review. I know we have since had a discussion and I was pleased to hear that your rash improved with the treatment and that you understood the reported restriction did not necessarily apply in your case.
All aspects of the service provided were outstanding. My initial consultation was arranged very efficiently - within 7 days of my GP referral - and the required mole excision was actually performed at this same initial consultation which avoided any significant delays. The treatment was explained very clearly to me and in a pleasant, accessible manner, so that I understood exactly what the options were, and what follow-up was required. When I received the results of the skin biopsy Dr Maslin also was very clear in the explanation of these results, and a follow-up mole assessment consultation in 12 months was also scheduled. Overall I could not be happier with my consultation. It exceeded my expectations in all regards.

Thank you. My team endeavour to provide an efficient and timely service, which can be so important in dermatology. Patients can contact us directly if needed in such situations.
I have seen Dr Maslin twice. His is warm, friendly, knowledgeable and supportive. Highly recommend him.

Thank you for your feedback.
I had an excellent experience with Dr. Maslin and would highly recommend him to anyone seeking dermatology care. Because of a history of skin cancer on both sides of my family, I try to receive regular comprehensive skin checks to ensure I am aware of any skin lesions that need to be treted or monitored. I had not had a regular check in several years, but Dr. Maslin put me at ease by taking a thorough accounting of my family history and performing a very thorough check, as well as making sure he answered all of my questions. In addition to being highly professional, Dr. Maslin is extremely friendly and personable. I couldn't have asked for a better skin check and feel confident in the evaluation I received.

Thank you. A thorough and careful skin check is a very important part of my job!
Communication ahead of the appointment was very efficient, and the appointment itself was an excellent experience—relaxed, unhurried, and with a clear discussion of the condition at hand.
Dr Maslin was very thorough in his assessment, explaining everything. He's clearly very experienced and knowledgeable and gave me reassurance and a clear plan. He has a lovely, gentle, kind approach and made me feel at ease. Follow up communication with my GP and plastic surgeon (Dr Reid) was really quick. Thank you so much.
