Dr Donald Masi

Dr Donald Masi is a Consultant General Adult Psychiatrist based at the Priory Hospital Roehampton, where he has practiced since June 2022. He manages the full spectrum of adult inpatient and outpatient mental health care, delivering comprehensive treatments for the diverse backgrounds of his patients. As well as his clinical practice, he is a key leader within his hospital’s governance and senior management structures and serves as a line manager and clinical mentor to junior doctors and GP trainees.

Dr Masi graduated from King’s College London and earned an undergraduate medical degree, a BSc in Neuroscience and Neuropsychology, and a Diploma in the Philosophy of Medicine. He completed his specialist psychiatry training within the East London NHS Foundation Trust. He became a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists in 2013 and achieved his Certificate of Completion of Training in General Adult Psychiatry in 2019.

Dr Masi has held leadership roles within the NHS, serving as a Consultant and Lead Clinician for a high-volume London Community Mental Health Team, before being promoted to Associate Clinical Director. He is an Approved Clinician with Section 12(2) approval under the Mental Health Act 1983, recognising his advanced expertise in mental health law and patient care.

Dr Masi maintains a strong research profile with a focus on neuropsychiatry and clinical trials. He has conducted vital research into mood disorders affecting patients with neurological conditions, such as multiple sclerosis (MS) and motor neurone disease (MND), which successfully expanded mental health service provisions across South East London.
