Miss Desislava Damyanova

Ms. Desislava (Desi) Damyanova is a highly skilled Specialist Sonographer in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and the Lead Sonographer at the London Pregnancy Clinic. With over a decade of experience in fetal medicine, obstetric ultrasound, and fertility care, Desi has established herself as a trusted professional in the field. She joined the London Pregnancy Clinic in 2025, bringing with her an extensive clinical background and a commitment to providing patient-centered care.

Desi began her healthcare career by earning a BSc in Midwifery from Meditzinski Universitet - Plovdiv in 2009. Her passion for advancing her expertise led her to pursue a Diploma in Business Administration and Management from Pearsons Education, London, in 2014. To further specialise in fetal medicine, she completed a prestigious Training Fellowship in Fetal Medicine at the Harris Birthright Centre, King’s College Hospital, in 2023.

Prior to her current role, Desi held senior positions at University College London Hospital (UCLH), where she performed advanced prenatal ultrasound scans and mentored postgraduate students in obstetric and fetal medicine ultrasound. Additionally, she served as a Research Fellow in Fetal Medicine at King’s College Hospital London and gained valuable experience as a Fertility Midwife at the Centre for Reproductive and Genetic Health (CRGH).

Desi’s clinical expertise includes conducting transabdominal and transvaginal ultrasound scans in obstetrics and gynaecology, prenatal screening including NIPT, and detailed early pregnancy anatomy ultrasound examinations. She has a special interest in early pregnancy ultrasound, basic and advanced NIPT, and congenital heart disease (CHD) screening.

Desi’s holistic and patient-focused approach makes her a valued member of the team, ensuring that each patient receives comprehensive and compassionate care during every stage of their journey.
