I am a very nervous patient of his, but when I recently saw him about my problem which is ongoing, he acted on this quickly, and reassured me that everything will be ok.
Fantastic experience from start to finish. Explained things simply and thoroughly to me, had so much patience regarding my concerns and took so much time to help put those concerns at ease.
Mr Westbroek was so understanding and always made me feel that what I was saying and feeling was important, he never made me feel that he didn't have time to listen to me. He arranged referrals for me and most importantly listened and cared.
I had very good care under Mr Westbroek, he is very friendly and personable. He gave clear explanations of what to expect and I was given ample time to ask questions. On the day of my surgery he was very sensitive and kind, at a time when you feel so vulnerable. One suggestion I made was, if you are going to include a woman's bra size and bmi in their letter, don't guess this, ask the woman. I did get my letter before I received my face to face results of my mammogram and ultrasound which wasn't ideal. This is more a criticism of the system and not Mr Westbroek
I met Mr WestBroek to discuss my options re breast surgery. 2025. He was the second doctor I saw at the unit in Dartford. I hadn’t asked for the second opinion but found out that Mr WestBroek had agreed to see me/offered to see me to offer me a different opinion on my options. He was kind and very professional and I’m so grateful for him seeing me. My surgery went ahead with him. And he did a really good job. My scars healed and I still look and feel like me. I would recommend Mr WestBroek to any one going through breast surgery. His kind, puts you at ease and of course professional but in a way you need from a doctor.
Very understanding .and very caring and very kind docter .
At a worrying time my concerns were always addressed promptly and kindly. After initial treatment (1yr and 2yrs later) further concerns that arose were addressed by visit after 1yr and discussed by phone 2yr. No need for a visit as I had the confidence that he knew my case and took the time to discuss pain I experienced as post radiation issues. 3yr no need to contact but know I would not be turned away. The time frame from mammogram to results is always the “holding your breath concern “ and this is not his fault I believe it is the system which such a shame. This last year was exceptionally long time to wait for the all clear even though I was warned it would be the unless there was a potential issue. Sometimes the no news is good news can be stressful.
My treatment was 3 years ago. I am due to have a mammogram next month but I do feel a chat with a professional at the same time would help enormously as there are always on going questions .

Absolutely always encourage follow-up & monitoring after treatment. Please contact BCN’s to arrange an outpatient appointment ..
From my initial diagnosis to this day the level of care, support and understanding from Mr Westbroek and his team has been outstanding. I always felt I could approach and still can with any concerns I had/have and I was listened to and heard . Mr Westbroek and his team have gone above and beyond for me .
