About Mr Damien Yeo
Mr Damien Yeo is a Consultant Paediatric and Adult Ophthalmologist serving as a regional and tertiary referral specialist at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, Liverpool Women’s Hospital, and St Paul’s Eye Unit. He has a keen specialist interest in paediatric ophthalmology, congenital eye conditions, ophthalmic genetics, ocular motility, and strabismus.
A graduate of the University of Manchester in 2008, Mr Yeo completed his ophthalmology training within the Wales deanery. During his registrar years, he contributed to the surgical skills faculty and served as an examiner for the Royal College of Ophthalmologists. He was also an active committee member of the Ophthalmologists-in-Training Group and founded the Welsh Ophthalmic Trainees Society.

Mr Yeo was very kind & professional in his manner. I found him very good at explaining things in the main. He has sent written reports to my GP & optician. I was glad to have this chance to avoid a 10 month wait for the nhs. The only problem was lack of any real detectable reason for the Diplopia as recorded early May by the local optometrist, which prompted the referral to the ophthalmologist. My condition appears to have been temporary or intermittent-& a follow up appointment is therefore needed, to monitor my eyes & general health affecting them. Liaison with my Gp for blood results has been arranged. Attention was also paid to my thyroid condition & I was given much reassurance this is pretty stable, with respect to my eyes. Many thanks for thorough attention to detail.
