Dr Conor O'Neill

Dr Conor O'Neill is an experienced Consultant Medical Oncologist and Clinical Lead for Oncology who provides expert care for patients navigating a cancer diagnosis. Specialising in the non-surgical management of malignancies, he focuses on delivering clear guidance, compassionate support, and individualised treatment plans tailored to each patient's specific needs. Dr O'Neill collaborates closely with wider multidisciplinary teams to ensure that patients receive holistic and coordinated care throughout every step of their treatment journey.

In his clinical practice, Dr O'Neill treats a broad range of adult cancers, with specialist focus on breast cancer and upper gastrointestinal malignancies. His clinical expertise encompasses modern systemic anti-cancer therapies, including chemotherapy, targeted biological therapies, and immunotherapy. Additionally, Dr O'Neill maintains a dedicated clinical interest in geriatric oncology, focusing on tailoring treatment regimens to preserve quality of life and safety for older individuals. He is also actively involved in leading clinical trials to bring advanced cancer therapies and innovative care strategies to his patients.

Dr O'Neill completed his higher specialist training in medical oncology and was awarded the prestigious Dr Gary McGowan Scholarship to undertake a Master of Science (MSc) in Clinical Education. He is deeply committed to academic medicine and medical education, actively training undergraduate medical students and postgraduates in oncology care. Furthermore, Dr O'Neill contributes to clinical research initiatives and observational cohort studies aimed at improving systemic therapy tolerance, clinical trial accessibility, and treatment outcomes in cancer care.
