Dr Claudia Montanaro is a cardiologist based at the Royal Brompton Hospital in London, where she specialises in adult congenital heart disease and cardiac MRI.

She gained her medical qualifications in 2009 from the University Vita-Salute San Raffaele.

She is board certified in adult congenital heart disease echo (ESC) and her academic interests include outcome analysis in patients with congenital heart disease, in particular pulmonary atresia and ventricular septal defect. as She also has interests in 3D-CMR reconstruction of complex heart lesions.

Her research is supported by the Italian Society of Cardiology and focuses on the non-invasive detection of atrial fibrosis. Dr. Montanaro is a member of the editorial board of The International Journal of Cardiology, and she has co-authored papers in peer reviewed journals as well as book chapters in the field of congenital heart disease and heart failure.
