Dr. Clare Nieland

Dr Clare Nieland is an experienced General Practitioner with over 20 years’ experience across both the NHS and private sector. At The Windsor Wellness Clinic, she delivers personalised proactive care, treating every patient as unique and working with her patients to enable a journey to better health.

Dr Clare is a qualified lifestyle medicine phsician, and uses evidence-based medical and lifestyle interventions to support long-term health and vitality. Clare is also a Longevity & Lifestyle Medicine Physician at Hooke London, and continues her work in the NHS at Cedars Surgery in Maidenhead.

Dr Nieland has particular expertise in the use of medical therapies alongside lifestyle strategies to improve insulin sensitivity, body composition and weight loss, cardiometabolic risk and overall wellbeing.

A key focus of Dr Nieland’s practice is women’s health, with postgraduate
qualifications in contraception and menopause management. She has extensive
experience supporting women through perimenopause and menopause, using a highly
individualised approach that may include lifestyle intervention, hormonal optimisation and the safe, evidence-based use of HRT to improve symptoms, protect long-term health, and enhance quality of life.

Alongside her clinical work, Dr Nieland is a GP trainer, mentor and safeguarding lead,
and regularly speaks at conferences and on podcasts, on lifestyle medicine, prevention and modern approaches to health optimisation. She maintains her own wellbeing through good nutrition, regular exercise and prioritising sleep — principles that underpin her clinical philosophy.

Dr Clare has just been announced as the incoming President of the British Society of Lifestyle Medicine.
