Dr Christopher Groves

Dr Christopher Groves is an accomplished Consultant Anaesthetist specialising in adult anaesthetics and critical care. He provides comprehensive perioperative care for individuals undergoing a wide range of surgical interventions, including general and cardiac procedures, as well as complex interventional cardiology care. Dedicated to patient safety and reassurance, Dr Groves focuses on providing tailored anaesthetic plans that promote comfort, confidence, and smooth recovery throughout the perioperative journey.

Dr Groves earned his medical degree from King's College London, qualifying in 2009. He subsequently completed postgraduate training in general medicine, followed by structured higher specialty training in anaesthetics and intensive care medicine in the United Kingdom and Australia. He completed advanced sub-specialty fellowship training focused on cardiac anaesthesia and intensive care. Dr Groves is a Member of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP), a Fellow of the Royal College of Anaesthetists (FRCA), and a Fellow of the Faculty of Intensive Care Medicine (FFICM).

In addition to providing general and cardiac anaesthesia, Dr Groves has extensive expertise in both general and cardiac intensive care medicine. His clinical work incorporates advanced perioperative ultrasound and transoesophageal echocardiography to optimise patient monitoring and outcome. Beyond his clinical duties, Dr Groves plays an active role in medical education and specialist postgraduate training as a regional Faculty Tutor in cardiac intensive care.
