Mr Chris Lodge

Mr Christopher Lodge is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in hip and knee surgery, with a particular interest in primary and revision joint replacement. He provides care for patients with degenerative joint conditions and is experienced in managing both routine and complex hip and knee arthritis. Mr Lodge performs hip and knee replacements, arthroscopic knee surgery, and revision procedures, including those for peri-prosthetic joint infection.

Mr Lodge practises privately at Nuffield Health York Hospital and Clifton Park Hospital, part of Ramsay Health Care, and holds a substantive NHS post at York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. He is committed to offering high-quality care across a broad spectrum of hip and knee disorders with a focus on  primary joitn replacement and investigation, management and revision of failed joint replacements.

He graduated from Newcastle University in 2011 and completed his specialist orthopaedic training on the Yorkshire rotation. In 2021, he undertook a Hip and Knee Arthroplasty Fellowship in Nottingham under Mr Andrew Manktelow and Mr Ben Bloch, and went on to complete a further senior fellowship in complex revision surgery and peri-prosthetic joint infection at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital in Birmingham.

Mr Lodge is actively involved in research and has published widely in peer-reviewed journals. He has presented his work at national and international conferences and maintains an active academic profile.

He is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, the British Orthopaedic Association, the British Hip Society, and the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons.
