Dr. Charlotte Ridout

Dr Charlotte Ridout MRCGP BSc (Hons) is a highly experienced General Practitioner with 15 years of medical practice. She trained at Guy’s, King’s, and St Thomas’ in London before specialising in family medicine within the Kent, Surrey, and Sussex Deanery. Dr Ridout has a degree in Anatomy and Physiology from Dundee University, where she gained a 2:1, and she previously worked in business and IT in London and Hong Kong before pursuing her passion for medicine.

Originally from Suffolk, Dr Ridout returned to her roots in 2013, bringing extensive experience in General Practice, particularly in Suffolk. Her special interests include paediatrics, women’s and men’s health, end-of-life care, mental health, elderly care, and lower gastrointestinal medicine. She values the variety of work in the community, which allows her to build meaningful connections with patients.

Dr Ridout is the co-founder of Deben Private GP Services in Woodbridge, a “pay as you go” private GP clinic providing accessible, compassionate, and high-quality care. Alongside her team, she is committed to delivering patient-focused continuity of care, offering a modern alternative to traditional healthcare services for the local community.
