Dr Ashish Mittal

Dr Ashish Mittal is a dedicated Consultant Cardiologist and Consultant Electrophysiologist who provides comprehensive cardiovascular care. Specialising in cardiac rhythm management, Dr Mittal focuses on diagnosing and managing a wide range of heart rhythm conditions, ranging from common palpitations and dizzy spells to complex arrhythmias. He works to deliver clear diagnostic assessments and tailored treatment strategies aimed at restoring normal cardiac function and enhancing overall quality of life.

As a Cardiologist with sub-specialist expertise in interventional electrophysiology, Dr Mittal performs a broad spectrum of advanced cardiac procedures. His procedural practice includes complex catheter ablation utilising radiofrequency energy, cryotherapy, and 3D electroanatomical mapping systems to treat conditions such as atrial fibrillation, supraventricular tachycardia, and ventricular tachycardia. In addition, Dr Mittal provides expert cardiac device therapy, including the implantation and management of pacemakers, implantable cardioverter-defibrillators, cardiac resynchronisation therapy devices, subcutaneous defibrillators, and implantable loop recorders. He also possesses expertise in conduction system pacing to optimise heart rhythm coordination.

Dr Mittal earned his Doctor of Medicine degree at the Victor Babeș University of Medicine and Pharmacy, where he subsequently completed specialist training in general cardiology at the Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases. To further enhance his procedural skills, he undertook advanced clinical fellowships in interventional cardiac electrophysiology and cardiac device therapy across major tertiary care centres in Ireland and the United Kingdom. Dr Mittal is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and holds European accreditation as a European Certified Electrophysiology Specialist and European Certified Device Specialist.
