Mr Arshed Malik

Mr Arshed Malik is a Consultant Ophthalmologist with extensive experience in cataract surgery, premium lens replacement surgery, glaucoma management, and general ophthalmic care. His specialist training across the United Kingdom and Ireland has provided him with broad expertise across multiple areas of ophthalmology.

Mr Malik completed his medical education with distinction and undertook postgraduate ophthalmic surgical training at leading centres in Ireland and the UK. During his training, he gained experience across a wide range of ophthalmic subspecialties, including cataract surgery, corneal disease, glaucoma, laser treatments, medical retina, ocular plastics, paediatric ophthalmology, and vitreoretinal care.

He has held consultant positions within several NHS hospitals, including his most recent role as Consultant Ophthalmologist at Blackpool Victoria Hospital. In this role, he led cataract, glaucoma, and laser clinics, provided general ophthalmology services, and performed regular surgical procedures.

Mr Malik has a particular interest in cataract and refractive surgery, including advanced lens-based vision correction procedures designed to reduce dependence on glasses. He also provides assessment and treatment for glaucoma and a wide range of other eye conditions.

He has completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Cataract and Refractive Surgery at Ulster University under the standards of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists.

Mr Malik is committed to continuing professional development and regularly participates in international ophthalmology conferences, including meetings organised by the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons. He has contributed to ophthalmic research through peer-reviewed publications and presentations at national and international meetings.
