Mr Russo is dual trained in Orthopaedic spine surgery and Neurosurgical spine surgery. Following his neurosurgical training, he successfully completed advanced spinal surgery fellowships in prestigious centres in the USA, UK and Japan.
Mr Russo performs complex anterior, anterolateral, posterolateral and posterior approaches, decompression of the spinal cord and nerve roots and reconstruction of the spine from the occiput to the pelvis.

The doctor was not prepared for the appointment. He didn't receive my referral letter in advance. He opened the scan results for the first time during the appointment and analyzed it. However, it was expected the doctor to be prepared for the appointment.
Mr Russo takes time to ensure you understand the proceedure, I am very confident in his abilities.
Dr. Russo is very knowledgeable and explained everything in a way that no other doctor I've seen in other practices has ever been able to.
A wonderful consultant and man, he takes the time to explain the diagnosis and future implications in-depth with a view to moving forward, while at the same time considering and alleviating the patients various concerns. I'm looking forward to my next appointment but I shouldn't be!
