Dr Anthony Hart

Dr Anthony Hart is an experienced Consultant Paediatric Neurologist and Paediatrician specialising in the diagnosis, management, and treatment of complex neurological conditions in infants, children, and unborn babies. Committed to providing compassionate, family-centred care, Dr Hart works closely with parents and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver tailored assessment and treatment plans. His clinical focus encompasses a wide spectrum of paediatric neurological concerns, ensuring young patients receive high-quality support throughout their developmental journey.

Dr Hart possesses particular expertise in neonatal and perinatal neurology, with a dedicated clinical focus on the early detection and management of neurological disorders in fetuses and newborn infants. His specialist interests include the recognition and treatment of neonatal seizures, acquired brain injury, perinatal arterial ischaemic stroke, and early developmental impairments. Additionally, he provides expert antenatal counselling for parents following a prenatal diagnosis of a neurological condition, offering clear, empathetic guidance during challenging circumstances.

Dr Hart completed his primary medical degree (MBChB) before undertaking specialist postgraduate training in Paediatrics and Paediatric Neurology. He earned a PhD in Medicine from the University of Sheffield in 2012, focusing on preterm magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and developmental outcomes. He is a Member of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (MRCPCH) and maintains active involvement in professional bodies such as the British Paediatric Neurology Association, contributing to medical research and educational training programmes designed to improve paediatric neurological care.
