About Mr Anthony Simons
Mr Anthony Simons is a Consultant ENT, Head and Neck, and Thyroid Surgeon based at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. After graduating with honours from the University of Manchester in 2007, he completed his specialist ENT training in Manchester before moving to Australia to complete an advanced Head and Neck fellowship at The Royal Melbourne Hospital, refining his expertise in complex head and neck cases. He currently serves as the Robotic Lead for Head and Neck Surgery at the Queen's Medical Centre.
His clinical practice focuses on minimally invasive techniques for upper airway and thyroid disorders. He utilises Transoral Robotic Surgery (TORS) to provide advanced, less invasive surgical treatment options for patients diagnosed with head and neck cancer.
As the departmental governance lead, Mr Simons manages patient safety standards and leads recruitment for national clinical research trials. He remains deeply committed to medical education, frequently teaching regional and national surgical training courses to develop the next generation of ENT specialists.
