About Mr Anthony Simons
Mr Anthony Simons is a Consultant ENT, Head and Neck, and Thyroid Surgeon based at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. After graduating with honours from the University of Manchester in 2007, he completed his specialist ENT training in Manchester before moving to Australia to complete an advanced Head and Neck fellowship at The Royal Melbourne Hospital, refining his expertise in complex head and neck cases. He currently serves as the Robotic Lead for Head and Neck Surgery at the Queen's Medical Centre.
His clinical practice focuses on minimally invasive techniques for upper airway and thyroid disorders. He utilises Transoral Robotic Surgery (TORS) to provide advanced, less invasive surgical treatment options for patients diagnosed with head and neck cancer.
As the departmental governance lead, Mr Simons manages patient safety standards and leads recruitment for national clinical research trials. He remains deeply committed to medical education, frequently teaching regional and national surgical training courses to develop the next generation of ENT specialists.

Dr simons, is Excellent, he explains in simple terms everything to me ,so i really understand and grasp, what condition ihad , and corrected it.
This Doctor is so amazing he explained my surgery very clearly, he was very polite well mannered and did excellent surgery on my thyroid, my throat as healed excellent, I’m so happy he was my surgeon.
I had a really positive experience with Dr.Simons. He took the time to listen carefully to my concerns, explained everything in detail and answered all of my questions thoroughly. He also explained each step of the examination as he went along, which was reassuring and helped me feel comfortable throughout. I never felt rushed and appreciated how approachable and professional he was, he genuinely wanted to make sure I understood everything. I would highly recommend him and am very grateful for the time and care he took during my appointment.
