Mr. Andrew Macfarlane is a highly experienced Consultant Podiatric Surgeon specialising in the treatment of foot conditions through both surgical and conservative methods. With a particular interest in forefoot pain and corrective bunion surgery, he has performed over 6,000 surgical procedures with excellent clinical and patient satisfaction outcomes.
Currently holding Consultant Podiatric Surgeon positions at Charing Cross Hospital, Hammersmith, and Queen Mary's Hospital, Sidcup, Mr. Macfarlane also serves as the Clinical Lead for the podiatric surgery service at Queen Mary's Hospital.
His areas of expertise include bunions (Hallux Valgus), osteoarthritis of toe joints (Hallux Limitus / Rigidus), nail surgery (ingrown toenails), hammertoes, Morton's Neuroma, forefoot pain (Metatarsalgia), heel pain, plantar fasciitis, extracorporeal shockwave therapy (ESWT), image-guided cortisone injection therapy, soft tissue lumps and bumps (including ganglions), and general toe deformities and foot pain.
In addition to his clinical work, Mr. Macfarlane actively participates in providing lectures and training to other foot and ankle specialists at local and national conferences and seminars. Outside of his professional endeavours, he maintains a keen interest in sports, including cycling, cricket, golf, and walking.
