Dr Andrew Christie

Dr Andrew Christie is an accomplished Consultant Radiologist specialising in diagnostic imaging and image-guided minimally invasive procedures. Dedicated to providing compassionate and patient-centred care, he utilises advanced imaging modalities to deliver accurate diagnostic evaluations and targeted therapeutic interventions. As a Consultant Interventional Radiologist, Dr Christie works closely with broader clinical teams to ensure patients receive reassuring support and precisely coordinated care throughout their treatment.

His clinical practice encompasses a wide array of diagnostic and interventional services. Dr Christie possesses extensive expertise in vascular imaging and intervention, including angiography, transluminal angioplasty, and magnetic resonance angiography (MRA). His work also includes computed tomography (CT) imaging, chest radiology, lower-limb vascular assessment, and ultrasound-guided biopsies. In addition, Dr Christie performs specialised image-guided therapeutic procedures, such as uterine artery embolisation for the management of uterine fibroids and targeted interventions for venous thrombosis.

Dr Christie completed his primary medical degree prior to undertaking specialist higher training in clinical radiology, followed by sub-specialist training in interventional radiology. He earned Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists (FRCR). Alongside his clinical practice, Dr Christie is deeply committed to medical education, holding key educational leadership roles to supervise and train specialist clinical radiology trainees. He has also contributed to published medical research in vascular and radiological imaging.
