Dr Ananth Kidambi

Dr. Ananth Kidambi is an accomplished Consultant Cardiologist with a subspecialty focus on general cardiology, heart valve disease, and advanced cardiac imaging techniques. With more than 18 years of experience in the field, Dr. Kidambi has honed his skills in providing comprehensive patient care, backed by the latest research, guidelines, and diagnostic tools as required. He obtained his medical training from the prestigious Oxford and Cambridge Universities, where he also completed his PhD in Cardiology. Dr. Kidambi furthered his clinical training with a Cardiology rotation in Leeds, where he completed his subspecialty training in advanced echo and MRI imaging, and heart valve disease.

As an Honorary Senior Lecturer at Leeds University, Dr. Kidambi has published over 70 peer-reviewed publications, book chapters, and co-authored the popular Cardiac MRI pocket guides. He is a national examiner for both Advanced Life Support and the British Society of Echocardiography, and an Educational supervisor for Cardiology trainees in Leeds, having previously served as a mentor for the Royal College of Physicians.

Dr. Kidambi has been a full-time Consultant Cardiologist in Leeds Teaching Hospitals since 2016, where he has been recognised with a Clinical Excellence Award for his work. He also serves as the Clinical Informatics Lead for Cardiology at Leeds Teaching Hospitals and is the Cardiac MRI governance lead.

Dr. Kidambi is a member of several prestigious medical organisations, including as a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (London), British Medical Association, British Cardiovascular Society, European Society of Cardiology, British Society of Echocardiography, European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging, and British Heart Valve Society. Dr. Kidambi’s dedication to patient care and commitment to advancing the field of Cardiology have made him a highly respected and sought-after specialist.
