About Ms Analou Sugar
Ms Analou Sugar is a speech and language therapist specialising in paediatric eating and communication issues. She established her own private practice in 2003 and currently offers private speech therapy at her clinic based at the BUPA Cromwell Hospital. She provides a comprehensive, multidisciplinary assessment and treatment of communication and feeding difficulties by collaborating with other healthcare professionals, including paediatric gastroenterologists and paediatric psychiatrists.
She trained in South Africa, graduating from the University of Stellenbosch as a speech pathologist and audiologist (B. Speech Pathology and Audiology) in 1997. In 2001, she received her Master's degree in Speech Pathology from the University of Cape Town. She is currently undertaking a PhD at Imperial College London.
Ms Sugar has worked in a variety of paediatric community and acute NHS hospital settings around London and is currently based at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital part-time as the clinical lead for paediatric feeding difficulties. She has service on various commitees including NICE and ESPGHAN. She has contributed to position papers in field of paediatric feeding difficulties in the UK and Europe.
Ms Sugar set up her private practice in 2004.

Analou Sugar is an exceptional speech/language therapist. She has provided speech/language services to my son. My son enjoyed working with Analou and always looked forward to every session. I truly loved seeing how excited he got in anticipation for her therapy sessions. Analou is incredible. Not only has she has taken great care of my son’s SAL needs, but also she was so lovely to speak with at every appointment. She combines personal touches and care for the children. Analou has been has been our go to SALT therapist for the last 3 years. During that time she’s been critical to the monitoring and progression of my 5 year old daughter’s care. Analaou is exceptionally knowledgeable and is pragmatic in setting the care needs for our little girl. Analou was quickly able to be a lovely bond with our daughter, which helps every time we meet. I couldn’t recommend Analou highly enough.
