Amy Curran is a specialist musculoskeletal podiatrist dedicated to treating patients from a wide variety of backgrounds. She graduated with a first-class honours degree in Podiatry from the University of Southampton and further advanced her expertise with a Master's degree in Podiatric Sports and Exercise Medicine from Queen Mary University in London.
Amy has a particular interest in biomechanical gait analysis, enabling her to effectively treat lower limb injuries—whether they occur during everyday activities or at the professional sports level. Her passion for sport is evident; she has represented the England junior ladies volleyball team and has a keen interest in both volleyball and running, which gives her a unique insight into sports injuries.
Working only in the private health sector, Amy treats patients of all ages, from children to the elderly, using a biomechanical, non-surgical approach to identify and address the mechanical causes of musculoskeletal issues affecting the foot, leg, and back.
She has extended scope training and a specialist interest in prescribing custom-made foot orthoses and ankle-foot orthoses. Amy's experience as a teenager wearing orthotics led her to pursue a career in this specialist field.
In addition to her clinical practice, Amy is a published author, with research on knee pain featured in the scientific journal 'Musculoskeletal Science and Practice.' She currently sees patients at three different locations across London.

Amy was fantastic at explaining everything to me when I had an issue. She explained why my foot pain had occurred and how it could be resolved. After fitting me with some orthotics, I’ve never felt more comfortable. I’m back to running again which I didn’t think was possible before. 5⭐️
Amy was the first person to diagnose my pressure ulcer correctly - after having seen a number of doctors and specialists. Her care and treatment was spot on and patiently delivered ensuring she kept track of my progress and recommended changes and alternatives when the recovery plateaued at times. Would highly recommend. Thank you

Amy is not only fabulous, but also extremely professional and had worked magic on my feet!!! Thank you 😊

Thank you so much! :)
Amy had my dad fitted with insoles to correct his foot turning over. Amy was so kind and caring and his foot has been corrected. He needed a custom made pair after off the self ones failed. . Amy also helped me with my foot pain with excellent results.

Thanks a lot Fiona!
I've had issues with my feet for ages and always pick up little injuries here and there from running which keeps me out of action for months at times. I was recommended Amy from my physio, and it turned out to be a great decision. I explained the problems I have been having, and what I have tried to fix them, and showed her existing shoes/insoles I have. We scanned my feet and the problem was clear, and she explained what we needed to help the issue, and I agreed to have orthotics made. Upon fitting them a couple of weeks later, we could see immediately the improvement in the alignment of my feet/ankles, having taken videos during both sessions to compare. Having been wearing them in my shoes for long walks since, I feel more supported. I have just started to run again so fingers crossed any issues are put to bed now. Amy was always on hand replying to emails promptly and any silly questions I had were answered. Hopefully this is the start of me being injury free thanks to Amy.

Thanks so much for the kind words Tom!
After having surgery to replace damaged ligaments and numerous ankle injuries my consultant surgeon recommended that I had a consultation with Amy to see if Orthotics would help in my recovery and overall stability going forward. Amy took the time to explain why I needed orthotics and the level of service I received was excellent. I now wear the orthotics every day and my ankles have gone from strength to strength allowing me to start running & mountaineering again Highly recommended!

Thank you for the review Steve!
