Amy Curran is a specialist musculoskeletal podiatrist dedicated to treating patients from a wide variety of backgrounds. She graduated with a first-class honours degree in Podiatry from the University of Southampton and further advanced her expertise with a Master's degree in Podiatric Sports and Exercise Medicine from Queen Mary University in London. She is also a qualified expert witness affiliated with Cardiff University.
Amy has a particular interest in biomechanical gait analysis, enabling her to effectively treat lower limb injuries—whether they occur during everyday activities or at the professional sports level. Her passion for sport is evident; she has represented the England junior ladies volleyball team and has a keen interest in both volleyball and running, which gives her a unique insight into sports injuries.
Working only in the private health sector, Amy treats patients of all ages, from children to the elderly, using a biomechanical, non-surgical approach to identify and address the mechanical causes of musculoskeletal issues affecting the foot, leg, and back.
She has extended scope training and a specialist interest in prescribing custom-made foot orthoses and ankle-foot orthoses. Amy's experience as a teenager wearing orthotics led her to pursue a career in this specialist field.
In addition to her clinical practice, Amy is a published author, with research on knee pain featured in the scientific journal Musculoskeletal Science and Practice. She currently sees patients at three different locations across London.

I’ve seen a number of podiatrists over the years, but Amy is on another level. For the first time, I genuinely feel like the issue has been properly identified and actually fixed, not just managed. The difference in my foot is huge already. She’s professional, thorough, and clearly knows her stuff. I wouldn’t go anywhere else now.
Amy was brilliant from start to finish. She’s incredibly knowledgeable, took the time to really understand the issue, and explained everything in a way that made total sense. The treatment has made a huge difference already—professional, friendly, and genuinely cares about her patients. Would highly recommend Amy to anyone needing an MSK podiatrist.
Fantastic , Amy really explained everything made me feel comfortable and helped me with my foot pain , very pleased
I recently visited Amy for persistent back of the heel pain that was severe and I was having difficulty walking. She diagnosed Achilles tendinitis. She advised on pain management and prescribed rehab with exercises along with custom made insoles. Gradually the pain eased and after a few weeks I had enough courage to believe I might actually be able to start running again. I’m now back to full fitness running and playing tennis weekly.
I saw Amy for my stubborn plantar fasciitis which I’ve had for years . After a mixture of laser therapy, insoles and exercises the outcome has been very good. I have every confidence in her and would recommend her to others and go back for other injuries or problems if the need arose
The experience was absolutely amazing in professionalism and empathy, the appointment was a fantastic experience and I felt full of information and care.a Finally , a routine check will be part of my lifetime. I felt the professional care for the patient with a delicate and comforting touch with confidence. Thanks for assisting me highly recommended doctor.
Amy was fantastic at explaining everything to me when I had an issue. She explained why my foot pain had occurred and how it could be resolved. After fitting me with some orthotics, I’ve never felt more comfortable. I’m back to running again which I didn’t think was possible before. 5⭐️
Amy was the first person to diagnose my pressure ulcer correctly - after having seen a number of doctors and specialists. Her care and treatment was spot on and patiently delivered ensuring she kept track of my progress and recommended changes and alternatives when the recovery plateaued at times. Would highly recommend. Thank you
Amy was very welcoming as always and gives very knowledgeable advice!
I have had the pleasure of working alongside Amy and have always been impressed by her clinical expertise and thoughtful, patient-centred approach. She is an excellent podiatrist—professional, approachable, and highly skilled. Patients are in very good hands with her.
