Ms Amanda Howe

Ms Amanda Howe is the Managing Director and Senior Clinical Nurse Specialist at Women First Healthcare. She combines extensive leadership experience with ongoing clinical practice, providing specialist assessment, treatment and support for adults experiencing a wide range of mental health conditions. As a dual registered general and mental health nurse, she takes a holistic, whole-person approach to assessment, recovery and overall wellbeing.

Ms Howe has extensive experience managing NHS mental health and multi-professional teams. She is passionate about improving women's experiences of healthcare, with a particular focus on ensuring mental health is valued equally alongside physical health. She is committed to addressing the stigma, misdiagnosis and unmet needs that many women experience and is proud to work alongside a multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering specialist, compassionate care.

As a Scottish Improvement Leader, Ms Howe is committed to driving improvements in women's healthcare services. Alongside her leadership role, she continues to maintain her clinical practice whenever possible, recognising the importance of remaining closely connected to patient care.
