Mr Ali Abdulkarim

Mr. Ali Abdulkarim is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with specialist expertise in hip and knee joint replacement, lower limb reconstruction, soft tissue knee surgery, and sports injuries of the lower limb. He provides expert care to patients across Worthing, Pulborough, Horsham, and surrounding areas, offering comprehensive management for both complex orthopaedic conditions and trauma-related cases.

Mr. Abdulkarim holds a Master of Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons (2010) and completed the Irish national training programme in trauma and orthopaedic surgery. His training included rotations through leading centres of excellence and culminated in Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (FRCSI) and the European Board of Orthopaedics and Traumatology (EBOT). He also received two prestigious Travelling Fellowships from the Irish Institute of Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery and the Irish Orthopaedic Association.

He undertook further post-CCT subspecialty training at Cambridge University Hospital (Addenbrooke’s) and Southmead Hospital in Bristol, with a focus on advanced hip and knee surgery.

An active contributor to orthopaedic research, Mr. Abdulkarim has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications and presented at over 100 international conferences. He is also involved in medical education as a visiting lecturer and academic supervisor, and is a faculty member of the Faculty of Sport & Exercise Medicine in both the UK and Ireland.
